We offer the Aspen Peak Scoliosis bracing system for non-surgical candidates
Non-surgical adult scoliosis patients are always looking for some form of pain relief. The Peak Scoliosis bracing system is a viable alternative. We've had numerous patients that have had lasting relief. We have a test kit in stock and can let you try the system in our office for 45 minutes to see if this is the right solution for you. How does this work? It's a brace that places pressure below the apex of your curve. The pressure trains your muscles to distract from that direction-offering pain relief. This is normally used for 2 periods of 45-90 minutes 2X a day. It has Medicare and most private insurance coverage.
Rules for wearing a spinal brace
Braces are made to be as comfortable as possible. They have varying degrees of stabilization-depending on usage. You should get about 60% relief from wearing the brace. If you've had surgery, when worn properly and following your MD's rules, the brace should keep you from getting back on the operating table. Always utilize a shirt between you and the brace. Unless otherwise told by your MD-wear the brace at all times when ever out of bed-except for showering. Never sleep in the brace. If something doesn't feel right-immediately stop wearing the brace and contact our office. If we see a problem-we will contact your MD. Your MD will tell you through diagnostic means when to discontinue using the brace.
Most private insurances are accepted
We accept most private insurances. As with Medicare, as long as you have met your deductible and have a covered secondary insurance, there is no cost for the brace. If there is a copay, you are responsible at the time of delivery. Our staff will provide you an estimated payment from your insurance.
Our expert staff is there for you
We will discuss the prescription orders. If the order says best fit, many times there are alternatives available. Our staff will give you the pros and cons with the different types of spinal braces ordered. Unfortunately, the FDA does not allow anyone to try on braces to determine which style they prefer.
Non-custom spinal braces are always in stock
We only utilize name brand-high quality spinal braces and keep them in-stock. Custom fabricated spinal braces can be delivered in as little as 1 business day
