Practitioner Profile: M. Britt Spears

Britt got into the field when a friend of his became an amputee at an early age. He watched the entire prosthetic care and wanted to do this since he was 12 years of age. Britt is a talented musician that has played keyboards with many of the better and lesser know Memphis Blues artist. He has jammed with Joe Walsh and James Luther Dickinson among several artist. He is currently playing in 2 bands regularly around Memphis and the surrounding area: Mimi and the BluesRockers and The 2012 Band. He loves to play and will just about play with anyone that has experience. He usually plays at least 20 hours per week. That is his relaxation. He travels often between Memphis and the Heber Springs, AR. office seeing patients. He also handles out of state prosthetic clinics providing many services out of state. He has been happily married to Jackie since 1980 with 2 grown children. He cannot wait to be a grandfather. In 2010 he was elected the Secretary position of the Tennessee Society of Orthotist and Prosthetist.
